Abraham was born in the village in the summer of 1880. He had worked as 'Farm Servant' before the war and was married with two children by the time it broke out in 1914. Abraham enlisted at Norwich on the 30th January, 1915. He served in the 3rd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.
Sadly on 9th July 1916 he was admitted to a military hospital at Felixstowe, Suffolk, suffering from tuberculosis. He died of the disease while there on 21st July. He was brought back to East Walton for burial on the 25th July, 1916. May he Rest in Peace. He was just 34 years old.
