The parish church of Burgh St Mary is now a foliage covered ruin in the middle of a field. It was probably built in the 11th or 12th centuries an the last recorded vicar here was in 1554. It is likely that the village it served fell into decline and in the late 1500s the parish was merged with it's neighbour Burgh St Margaret. It was already described at decayed and being used as a barn by 1602.
There is a footpath to the ruin, but these places are better left to nature, so I encourage you to search online and enjoy other peoples images of the interior.
The ruins were given Grade II listing status in 1962
