The war memorial was erected in c.1920 to commemorate those men lost in the First World War. Six names were added later to also include those of the Second World War.
At the bottom of the plinth is a line added to remember John 'James' Sharp DFC, who was lost during the Berlin Air Lift in 1949. He was sadly killed with two others on 21st March 1949 when their plane hit high ground at Schleswigland .
The memorial was awarded Grade II listing status in 2015.
There is also a memorial bronze inside the church.
